Thank you.

Do you think you can sing it on Saturday?

Definitely. I'd forgotten, but with timing like that I'll have to, won't I.

Just FYI, it's "in memoriam". I know I'm an ass for bringing that up, but I love the poem of that name; it brought "nature red in tooth and claw" *and* "'Tis better to have loved and lost/Than never to have loved at all" into the English language, so I fixate on that word.

This is what happens when I'm not standing over him to edit. ;-)

theres another song that IIRC was on the Challenger memorial tape, but I dont remember the name, It involved the soul of one of the astronauts being reincarnated in a new shuttle, does anybody remember the name and the author?

"Phoenix" by Julia Ecklar. The astronaut involved seems to be one of the Apollo 1 astronauts

"In a capsule fire on launch pad one
I was there
I know not where they laid my bones
It could be anywhere
But when fire and smoke had faded"
(I'm not sure about the rest of this verse)

The chourus:

"And my wings are made of tungstun
My flesh of glass and steel
I am the joy of terra for the power that I wield
Once upon a life time, I died a pioneer
Now I sing withing a spaceship's hull
Can anybody hear?

Bob Kanefsky, of course, has a parody (http://www.songworm.com/lyrics/songworm-parody/BytheTimeIGetTo.html).
