mid-to-late 1980's if I remember correctly. I'm pretty sure it had just come out at that point. I suppose it could have been a re-run, but that's not my recollection.

Just looked it up on the internet movie database. 1980. Earlier than you thought, though I guess one of us was about as many years wrong than the other.

OK; I don't think I had a VCR at that point; it might have been a re-run five or 10 years later.
