I have a dentist's appointment.

Dentists scare the shit out of me. Seriously, I thought chemotherapy was interesting and wish i could see video of my spleen being removed, but dentists? *shudder*

But it needs to be done.

Now I just need to get over there and pick up paperwork for financial aid.

Mt new dentist is female, and graduated in 1999.

If they offer any form of full sedation (somehow doubtful for the original exam, but probably even odds when they get around to the extractions), and we can afford it, we'll go for it. I'll also see if there's any way I can be in the exam room with him.

My dentist (who totally converted me from a dentist hater to a dentist not-minder) does and will give me nitrous (sp? I can't spell my drugs anymore, do I have a problem?) for the exam portion. I just hate that scrapey-pokey-sticky thing. And adding nitrous for lite sedation (as opposed to anasthesia) should be pretty cheap.

If gridlore ends up hating this dentist and is willing to travel to Oakland, I can recommend a kick-ass dentist that would *definitely* give him at least nitrous so long as he doesn't have a history of a bad reaction to it. (and no one who has had a bad reaction to nitrous ever seems to want it again anyway). I'm sure Yo would second the recommendation, and he's had a lot more serious work done than I have.
