I find serious nethack playing MUCH more challenging than outlines.

Considering the number of "death by running into a floating eye" I've experienced today, I'd say you're right.

I got around my blockage by skipped ahead a few scenes. The "new" scene is going well, and thenm I can go back to the problem later.
