Doug and his Big Red Truck

I found myself with a few minutes to spare today near my mom's place, so I asked if she'd do me a favor and take a few pictures for me. Here they are:





Just chilling with my truck.



The thing I'm holding is the breaker bar, used for strapping down pods, and shoving them around when necessary.



The controls for Podzilla. You can see the small wheels right by my knee and in the back of the truck. Those lower to the ground and the entire assembly (this towers and the side bars) comes off the truck. The white box on the side says PODZILLA. The big Z is right on the halfway point of the flatbed. Makes it easier to line things up when loading a pod.



PODS. Use us for all your moving and storage needs, or I'll break your kneecaps. The "26" is my total allowed weight in thousands of pounds. (11.7 metric tons, for those of you in sane countries)

Chris is a very cool dude, and was my trainer. I'll let him know he was appreciated.

My usual line when calling a customer to let them know I'm coming for a pick up is "you can have your driveway back now."

Ooooeeeeee .... pretty shiny! btw I know next to nothing about trucks, except I have friends, a couple, he's a long haul truck driver, and she often travels with him. When they come to visit me, they often show me pictures on the internet of "dreamy trucks". I don't geddit it, but I swear Bruce swoons over these big trucks like some other schmuck might over a playboy pin-up! In the past they wanted me to trave to Las Vegas with them to attend a Truck Show. I had to pass up on this out of work considerations. Well, the next time they visit, I'll have to show them your photos.
