gridlore: Doug looking off camera with a grin (Army - Combat Infantryman)

Great moments in programming..

AMC is one of my favorite channels, but sometimes they get odd.

Right now, they're showing The Killing Fields, a devastating look at the fall of Cambodia to the Khmer Rouge, and the horrors that followed.

After that, G.I. Jane, a nice all-American military film that is about as far removed from reality as you can get and avoid being labeled fantasy.

Interesting choices.

Sublime to ridiculous, huh?

Ooo, John Malkovitch is in The Killing Fields? Now I want to see it.

It's an awesome film. Probably one of my all time favorites but it is not a pretty picture.

I don't have cable anymore because I hate Comcast. I miss stuff like this though and the History Channel, etc

Another good film about south east Asian history is The Year Of Living Dangerously (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0086617/)
