It's a good day..

Why? Because the New York Yankees are in the cellar of the AL East, sharing that dank space with the Tampa Bay Devil Rays.

The Yankees, who I cursed last year, are 4-8 and appear unable to do anything about it.

Neener.

Neener.

Neener.

Did you laugh as hard as I did at Steinbrenner's press release?

The statement is here (http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2005/baseball/mlb/04/17/bc.bba.yankees.orioles.ap/index.html?cnn=yes)

Oh, yeah. And I loved the Baseball Tonight crew poking fun at him.

So did I

Dude, couldn't you have cursed George Bush's election chances?

I think my proximity to the House That Ruth Passed Out Drunk In made the difference. Had [livejournal.com profile] fimbrethil flown me to Washington D.C. for some odd reason, I would have cursed Bush.

Do curses made by an atheist have more weight, or less? :-)

I was invoking the Spirit of Baseball. Which I do believe in.

I wouldn't count them out completely yet, but when the Orioles are at the top of the AL East and the Yankees aren't, you know I'm smiling. Especially since the BoSox are breathing down Bal'mer's necks.
