Head, meet desk.

Headline News talking head reading a story about the bright flash from SGR 1806-20.

SGR 1806-20 is a neutron star.

The talking head read it as neuron star.

Head into desk, repeat as necessary.

Brain go 'splody? ;-)

Perhaps the talking head is an undercover evangelist for the Church of the Stellar Divinity.

Good, but not as good as "Jupiter's moon 10" from the Voyager 2 flyby.

History Channel, Modern Marvels show about medical imaging. The announcer (their standard announcer who does this ALL THE TIME with "unfamiliar" worlds and names) talked about "Computer Axial Topography" (the word is *tomography*).

It's bad enough that he does this stuff. But that nobody there *catches* it is inexcusable.

Don't get me started on what he does to place names...
