Dangerfield, who fell into a coma after undergoing heart surgery, died at 1:20 p.m., said publicist Kevin Sasaki. Dangerfield had a heart valve replaced Aug. 25 at the University of California, Los Angeles, Medical Center.
Rodney Dangerfield was one of my own influences when it comes to my love of making people laugh. He never failed to crack me up, no matter how old the joke or hackneyed the routine. He was the master of comedic timing.
