So I haven't been posting recently. Why? Because I've either been at work or asleep.
My first six-day week came as a result of BayCon. To get Sunday night off, I traded the following Saturday day shift. Then Terry (the dispatcher I traded with) had a stroke.
So, stupid me, I volunteer to take the *next* Saturday as well. Now my usual shift is 930pm to 600am. The Saturday shift is 500am to 130pm.
So not only am I working six days, I'm screwing up my normal sleep rhythms. Which, for people with seizure disorders, is fucking STUPID!!
Threats to my health aside, I was too tired to go to a party I had been looking forward to for sometime last Saturday, and spent the majority of my weekend asleep. This is not good.
So I left word that I can't do two of these shifts in back to back weeks. I may still pick up some overtime here and there, but it won't kill me.

You didn't miss much, believe me. Maybe it was better for the people who actually knew anyone there, but no one seemed to be having a particularly thrilling time. I'd rather have been sleeping, myself. *)

Maybe it's time for me to, as well.
