gridlore: Doug looking off camera with a grin (Penguin - Exploding)

(Insert a whole lot of swear words here)

Los Angeles Dodgers: 7
San Francisco Giants: 3

After the top of the ninth, that score was 3-0 SF. Yup, our deleted, deleted bullpen gave up seven deleted runs while only getting ONE deleted out!

Hermanson? You're fired. For impersonating a closer. You walked three batters in a half-inning.
Ransom? You're fired. For impersonating a shortstop. When you are practically handed a game-winning double-play ball, you're supposed to catch the deleted thing, not look at it and say "oh look, a baseball on the ground, how pretty!"
Franklin? You're fired. Giving up a grand slam on your second pitch of the game is not making the Penguin happy.

Felipe Alou? you're the genius who pulled Devi Cruz to put in Ransom! Retirement is looking pretty good right now...

So, the fate of the Giants now rests with the Colorado Rockies. We need to win tomorrow, and have the Rockies win their final two games against the Astros to get the wildcard.

Since the Rockies appear to have gone into "roll over and die" mode, I'm not holding my breath.

I feel your pain, mate. The Cubs rolled over and died against the Mets, Reds and then Braves.

I watched that. Pretty stunning.

But we had this game won. We won big last night. And the freaking bullpen... arg.

Yeah, the Cubs just seem to be able to slump at once.

Um, all I'm getting is a screen telling me to install a plug in, and that jumps me to an Apple stopre webpage.

The installation link should have gone to the QuickTime page, not the main Apple page, but we appear to have picked up some adware that's trying to get us to register for some shopping-premium service; I'm gonna re-run Norton tonight and see if I can't kill the bastard. In any event, I downloaded the most recent QT version, and the link still isn't working.

If that's at all iTunes related, it's not going to do us any good, because iTunes doesn't run on Win9* - only 2K or newer.

Dammit... no, it was a trailer for a new movie, Madagascar, that a certain Penguinphile would appreaciate in all it's glory.

I had to look up a separate link through IMDB, and open it in Exploiter, but I did finally get it to load.

Okay. THAT's funny.

At 68-93, the Rockies have been in "roll over and die" mode pretty much all season....
