Law and Order help?

I missed the season premiere. How was Lenny Brisco's exit handled? Was he on screen at all? Just written out and suddenly this new guy is there?

What do y'all think of the new guy?

Lenny left at the end of the last season, and went out with a win.
The character will be back in the next spin off, L&O: DA Squad (IIRC).

Dennis Farena's (sp?) character showed up about 10 minutes into the episode. As for the character, I'll have more of an opinion in a few more episodes.

What he said. The new guy is...questionable. Lenny was always a fairly straight shooter. His replacement feels...slippery.

We'll see how it goes. It was mentioned that they didn't have any choice about accepting him, so things may get interesting in the next month.

I always hated the actor that's replacing him so I'm really dissapointed that's who they chose. Oh well, hopefully it won't make L&O tank.

It turned out that Step-Mom was not involved in the kidnapping - her ex-boyfriend planned the whole thing as revenge. Kd was rescued and returned to teary-eyed step-mom. The last few minutes were of "Speed's" funeral.

Speed was the one who died??? I had a class last night and TOTALLY FORGOT to set my VCR(s) to tape Survivor, Apprentice and CSI:Miami.

Speed and H went to a jewlery store to check out a lead in the kidnapping case. Speed noticed someone or something in a back room and drew his weapon. H also drew his. Someone came out firing, H and Speed returned fire, but Speed's weapon misfired and the bad guy got him before H could get the bad guy.

Sorry to be the spoiler for you on that one.

I fell asleep about 10 minutes into CSI: NYC - but I think I'll hope for a rerun.
