Goddamn it!

Why the hell do people assume I want to listen to crappy MIDI music on their websites? Do they not know that most people use their computers to listen to their own tunes, or to streaming audio?

Doing some research I've just had my system trashed by the conflict caused between what the website wanted to force on me and what WinAmp was playing. Lost about forty minutes of work

I don't know what browzer you're using, but in Firefox you can set it not to ever play MIDI files unless you tell it to...

Is that available in the full version of Mozilla?

I'm entirely not sure, but you could check. The way I told my browzer to not play them was to go to Tools, Options, Downloads, then File Types and remove MIDI from the "automatically play with this player" list. It seems to work fairly well - there's probably an equivalent option for your browser.

Picture poor Lin. Those damned MIDI files drown out her screen reader... :-(

So she has no idea what the site *says*.
