This Dork Tower completely sums up my feelings about the Golden Age of Gaming.

We did die during character generation.. and we liked it!

I remember all that. Colouring dice with crayons, dying during character gen, bad miniatures...er, I wasn't so much with the breasts though. I'm bi but just barely.

Qualfying with the stats and background for the Paladin sub-class from Unearthed Arcana, you remember, the one with the advanced requirements due to having to qual as a Cavalier, first?

And then dying because of a background roll.

Oh yeah, I miss THAT like the bubonic plague. Come to think of it, THAT'S WHAT IT WAS. (grin)
