We had a blast...

Today, [livejournal.com profile] eeyore_grrl provided [livejournal.com profile] kshandra, [livejournal.com profile] dafydd and myself with a trip to Paramount's Great America, aka Six Flags over Silicon.

We haven't been there in years, and it was great. Roller costers were shrieked upon, we rode every water ride in the place, getting completely soaked, ate over-priced food and acted, in general, like 12 year olds. With money. :)

In the Air Hockey Championship of the Universe Kirsten skunked me 7-3. My two own-goals did not help my game plan one bit. I'm blaming the table's position, which had me backed up against a wall. My mobility was impaired. I'm filing a protest!

Why isn't air hockey an Olympic sport? The Spartans would love it.

In my humble opinion, the best ride was Rip-Roaring Rapids, which is a trip down, duh, fake rapids. What makes this ride great are the coin operated water jets run by spectators along the shore. Knowing that you are being drenched not by soulless machines but by malicious soccer moms improves the experience. They scored a direct hit on us. Three times.

I also got to meet Spongebob Squarepants. I rule.

I want photographic proof that you and Spongebob aren't one and the same.

In 1996 (I think) I went to CA with a bunch of friends and we spent one day in Knott's Berry Farm. One of the rides there was a 6-person water ride and your comment reminded me of this. What was funny was that at the end of it the other 4 were from wet to drenched where I had just barely gotten splashed! One particular wave totally soaked two of them! Yuck to walking around in wet jeans all day. :S :D

same thing happened to me on the Knott's Berry Farm ride, way back when i was in middle school and visiting fullerton, ca with my best friends family (aka my adopt-a-family). except, if i recall correctly, she and i were the ones DRENCHED that time.
