I disagree; just as the most obvious example, if we were somehow able to completely/magically close the Mexican border, California's economy would collapse within a week. However, I do think there are better roles for us to play in the international community than the drunken frat-boy bully looking for a fight, who doesn't understand why everyone thinks he's a jerk.
