Ya think maybe somebody is mad?

As if lightning hitting various crew members wasn't enough, the power in the Bay Area failed just as the first showings of The Passion of the Christ began rolling.

It's almost enough to make a believer of me.

Lightning didn't just strike crew members, it struck the actor who's playing the big J himself.

Twice.

It's almost enough to make a believer of me.

believer in what? Murphy? :-)

believer in what? Murphy? :-)

Some self-aware personification of the universe, usually called God.

This confirms long-held suspicions. God is real, and he's a critic. (My greatest fear.)

(Appropos of nothing, did you see the Andy Rooney transcript about Pat Robertson and Mel Gibson?)

I just saw multiple fire trucks loudly traveling at high speed the wrong way down the Fenway. I wonder if the AMC down that way is showing it...

It may not be Jehovah. I seem to remember similar things happening when "Poltergeist" was being filmed and released. Maybe one of the old Greeks is sitting in as a movie critic and feels that a bad review needs to really hurt to get the point across. ;)

I pointed out the list of natural disasters that have hit the US in recent history and how remarkably Old Testament PO'd God it looks to my Fundie in-laws, and got a lot of blank looks in return. They couldn't do the math.

BTW, I love that icon.
