I've been labeled.

An article in the SF Gate describes the new queer terminology. One of the terms included was this:

"Heteroflexible refers to a straight person with a queer mind-set."

Good gravy, it fits!

I thought "heteroflexible" was about a Kinsey 0.5: not far enough along the scale to self-identify as bisexual, but very occasionally willing to bat for the other team under certain circumstances.

That works for me as well.. If a well-oiled Antonio Bandares or Tom Brady showed up in my bed, I'd be a very happy Doug.

Yeah, I thought Kinsey 0>n>1 indicated straight people who have some aesthetic appreciation of the same-sex form and might be up for some petting with the right person. Which covers me and, IMO, much of the population - IIRC, Kinsey claimed that "pure" 0s and 5s were quite rare.

To me, this also falls under "straight but not narrow."

mindset?

maybe for bear queer or activist queer, but your mindset is way deeper than your average twinkie queer or gymbunny... I think there's a compliment in there if you dig deep enough...

What, for that matter, IS "a queer mindset" supposed to be?
Not belonging to the Sekrit Club, I are very confused.

well if you're not in the club, I can't tell ya, I'd lose my membership card

Hmm.

I've been identifying as "heteroflexible" for years, and I wouldn't say I have a "queer mindset" (whatever that is). It simply indicates I'm primarily heterosexual but open to other possibilities.

Stupid word-stealers.
