Well, this is annoying...

As a bit of a celebration after finding out that I am being kept on after the end of the holiday season (Did I forget to mention that earlier? Well, I am) I bought a clearance copy of EA Sports Madden NFL 2003.

I was going to learn the game, then create my own teams (The McMurdo Station Penguins, the Sylea Imperials, etc. and have fun playing out a season.)

Except the game keeps crashing. It installed just fine. Hell, it's one of the easier installs I've ever had. But when running, the game goes for about 2 minutes at most before it blinks off and I get a message saying the game had an internal error.. whatever that is.

I'm half-tempted to go price PS/2s on eBay and get one just to play this game. It looks great!

Any of the Lords of Geekdom have any clues?

Have you checked EA's Web site for patches?

Cool! Congratulations!

About the job...not the crashy game. :)

Hmmm...could be incompatible hardware. Corrupted drivers. See if EA has patches available. Some games have specific system requirements. Do you remember the error message?

No comment on the software, just a w00t! on the job news.
