The tribe has spoken

Ah, so Survivor Africa has gone into that good night, and I'm completely pleased with the results.

Ethan deserved the win, and Kim was also deserving. I am so glad that Lex got his psychotic ass tossed. I am amazed that Big Tom made it as far as he did.

One thing that pissed me off... During the jury's time to ask a question of the final two, one of them asked for a number between 1 and 1000. Excuse me? If I had been there, this would have been my answer:

"No. I refuse to play that game. I have played this game for 39 days, and you have sat on the jury for x days. If you couldn't find the time or ability to make an informed decision, I feel sorry for you, but I refuse to let our hard work come down to a guessing game. Here, let me make it easy for you; vote for (name of other finalist) I'd rather lose honestly than win based on a good guess."

So, the next season starts February 28th! I can't wait!

I'd apply, except that I know that I'd get voted out in the first three tribal councils.

...at least she told us what the number was, unlike whatsisface from Season One....

Who'd survive

I think you'd last longer than the first three episodes. The ones who get voted off first are the weaklings (like me) and the ones who really don't belong there in the first place (like the 62-year-old millionaire and the vegetarian in the other two).

Don't thump a bible and you'll last halfway through. I think you'd make it to the top four for sure.

OTOH, I haven't had the patience to watch this round of Survivor. I can't stand watching any kind of competition that depends upon physical prowess -- probably because I've never had any.

I don't think I'd last for a couple of reasons... my health for one. Six years of HD and it's side effects have really left me rather broken. Also, I'm the original picky eater. If we got to an icky foods challenge, I'd let my tribe down.

Then there is my personailty. I get very frustrated with people when there is something that needs to be done, and nobody is doing it. And it is very hard for me to control my anger and contempt. I'm too emotional, and might get tagged as someone who is useful to keep around until the shelter has been built, the fire is roaring, and people are as comfortable as they are going to get. Then, I'd be gone. Unless I got into a strong alliance and shut my stupid mouth.

Yeah, your health sucks and you're a picky eater, but the emotional guys who get frustrated with non-doers last. It's the ones who don't do anything who last.

It looks like the best way to make it to The Final Four, at least, is to become The Cook. If I were playing, that's what I'd do, as it's the only chance I'd have of lasting.
