Watch him dance!

We have a persistent annoyance in us.military.army by the name of Daryl Hunt. Real moron, who claimed to have gone through Airborne School (at Fort Bragg, no less.. the Basic Airborne Course was moved to Fort Benning in 1962) completely drunk the whole time. So drunk, he couldn't remember the name of barracks, the height of the drop towers, or even the names of his instructors.

One of his endearing features is his absolute refusal to accept a fact. Recently, he made the claim that the P-38 Lightning served during the Korean War. This sounded wrong to everyone, and Daryl came back with units that he "could prove" had flown the P-38. So fact checking began. Guess what? The last squadron flaying P-38s had been retired in 1949. Nobody flew them in Korea.

Daryl, being Daryl, has refused to accept the facts. He's twisting, squirming, attacking the messengers as well as the message, For a former Zoomie, his refusal to accept the official USAF history is amusing. Can't wait to see what he does next!

Maybe he was confused by the P-38 can opener.... ;-)

His the Confederates fought in 1776 fable with his "Oh, the British called them the "Confederates" because of the Articles of the Confederation" backtracking" are my current favorites.

I've suggested that he call the USAF the "Yankee Air Pirates" since that's what North Vietnam called them.

Hmmm... Maybe he was an F-82 (Twin Mustang) Pilot and just got whacked in the head while bailing out...
