Breaking the surface

It's been a couple of days, just wanted to let everyone know I'm still alive.

It's been bloody hot, which causes me and the computer to have issues. Oddly, it seems to affect our DSL as well.

So, what's new? Well, I'm waiting to hear on a job at Blockbuster (they called me, for a change) I should hear by tomorrow. As always, good vibes are appreciated.

Another reason I've haven't been posting is I've been hit hard by the recent virus attack. At the height of it, I was getting 100 copies an hour. Needless to say, I wasn't too thrilled with the Internet. This has completely screwed my mail, and I may get a new address. If I ever catch the guy who wrote this, I will kill him. I am not kidding.

In baseball, we won yesterday after tying the game on four consecutive walks, and won on two 9th inning home-runs. Tonight, we had a 10-run 2nd inning, and are currently up 10-2 at the beginning of the 8th.

I had Italian Sausage for dinner. It was good. Kirsten is out having her hair re-purpled.

While the Redbirds are technically still alive in the hunt for the NL Central title, none of the NL Central contenders can catch the Giants for best overall record.

It looks as if you have a windfall coming your way, Doug. Let me know how you want me to pony up....

Here's hoping that the Good Giant Vibes [tm] carry over into your job hunt. ;-)

Heat affects the transmission quality of the wire, as well as the equipment on the line, both on the end user and central office side, so speaks the Telecomm Engineer.
