Follow-up to the last entry. I got a phone call from the Bat's attorney! Evidently, the Bat demanded that she get a copy of my name and phone number.

This guy was trying to convinvce me that I saw it wrong! The the Bat had stopped before making the right turn! When I made it clear that I saw her run no less than three stops while driving up my bumper, you could hear his mental train falling off the track!

He then tried to bribe me! He made it clear that they would be happy to "compensate me" for my testimony! Sheesh! Like I'm going to commit a felony over a traffic accident? Still I played along.

After all, every man has a price, right? So I decided that my personal honor starts at about a quarter of a million dollars. I think he choked on his tie. But, I pointed out, that's to lie about the accident only Everything else I would be truthful about. Including being honest if asked why my story of how the accident happened changed. I'd tell them the complete, unmodified truth. It's another $250,000 for me to lie about that.

The phone call ended there.

Do you have a way to get in touch with the other guy or his lawyer? I'd make sure that he/she gets in a deposition or asks in court about your tale of this little incident! (The bribe, I mean)
