Full circle

Well, today I applied for a job at the Winchester Mystery House. I was a guide there back in 1990, so I know the general drill, and it is an enjoyable job, but...

I feel like I'm going backwards. I hate this feeling, and what it means. I'm the type who likes to go forward, see something new, but if this is what I can get, so be it. I've been told be friends and family who took the tour with me years ago that I'm quite good at it, so this might work out, or at least give me time to get SSA or a better job.

It is rather appropriate that I'm going back now.. 13 years after I left.. Mrs. Winchester liked the number 13...

or Life is using the slingshot effect to launch you off in a new direction using gravity against itself. Sometimes we think we're on the same step again and then realize it's a different flight of stairs (she says, mixing her metaphors).

...which puts me in mind of the 7/11 Staircase in the House....

You know, I don't think I'll be able to get my old speed on that part of the tour on Trileptal..
