I should have kept the one I had in the Army, come to think of it.
For the last few months, I've been doing a study on allergies that I got into through the Achievement app. Twice daily questionnaires, monthly surveys, the usual drill.
I really felt sorry for the researchers because their study started right when all the COVID-19 lockdown started, so I'm sure their results are going to be skewed. But I did my part and got rewarded with a nice chunk of money that I use for an Amazon gift card.
Using that, I bought an M-65 Field Jacket with liner. Every veteran reading this is nodding their head. M-65s are great jackets. They are warm, even more so with the liner in, reasonably water-resistant, and built for spending a lot of time outdoors.
Mine is plain OD Green, and I can't wait to wear it on the Playa next year.
