Forgot to mention yesterday that kshandra and I have moved the computer into the office! At last! No more trips to the bedroom bookshelves that one reference work I need.. they are all within five feet of me! Woo-Hoo! Our two main bookshelves are in here, with one being assembled in the living room to hold selected books and some of the stuff we've accumulated over the years.

Now, we just have to hang the cool art I bought at BayCon this year (first time I've ever had enough money to bid on something, and I got it on the first bid! I couldn't believe it)
and finish sorting out books and stuff.

You and <U>who</U> moved the computer?

Chopped Liver Moving Service, how can I help you?

(By the way, your wife's username is [livejournal.com profile] kshandra; you may want to link to her instead of whoever [livejournal.com profile] kiri is.)

Fine, you and I did the work. But Kirsten and I had been planning this for some months.

I can't understand this mania for having a dozen different names on the net. It just confuses the hell out of us with short term memory problems. That's why I have to use my "watch" filter early and often in Usenet.

Kirsten is koosh, kshandra, kiri, and good knows what else. I don't know what-all you use, except "cynical innocent in alt.calahans. I'm Doug. Everywhere. *One* email address, one name. Works for me.

The link has been fixed.

Oh, I know, I'm just the beast of burden while you two do all the planning. *grin*

I don't use nearly as many names as I used to. My realname field changes a lot, but everyone knows me as Rose. However, someone got to rose@livejournal.com before I did. (That happens a lot.) So I picked the next username I had handy. *shrug* Nothing so complicated about it.

The Windows client used to be set up so that you could highlight a name and link to a journal from there; the most recent revision seems to have changed that so it automatically uses the <lj user=> tag instead. This has bitten a few people so far, that I've noticed.
