Just make sure you have either no oil reserve or no weapons of mass destruction. (Either by itself seems to be fine, if I'm up to speed on current US foreign policy.)

Oh, that looks such fun. How dangerous is it as a time-sink, though? I've a horrible feeling that something would have to go, and it probably wouldn't be LJ or rasseff.

The real time-eater in NationStates is the discussion board system. If you just concentrate on running your nation, you can spend just a few minutes a day in resolving issues.
