The blahs.
Today, I was supposed to head down to the mall and grab a gift for my mom and niece, but the rainy weather just put me off. Putter around on the computer, get nothing accomplished.
Yes, I've got a major case of the fuck-its. Don't know why, but I just felt gloomy and depressed. Tried reading my new book, or Analog - no dice. Took a long shower - didn't help. Played Nethack very badly and gave up.
Got a call from a friend on vacation at Camp Pendelton. Yes, Red takes his holidays at a Marine Corps base. We chatted for a bit, then we got cut off. Typical.
Without think, I ordered a pizza. Stupid, since all I had was $15 bucks which just covered it, and had za like two days ago, but that didn't occur to me of course until I had paid the guy and started eating. Then of course I felt guilty and stuffed the whole thing down my gullet. So now I'm mopey and uncomfortably overfed. Feh.
The one bright spot was a call from Kirsten's Aunt Mary, and we chatted a bit.
