Thirty days, Day 6

Day 06- Favorite super hero and why

Green Arrow

More specifically, the Mike Grell Longbow Hunters-era version. GA is not superhuman, never took a mysterious potion that gave him abilities far beyond mortal men, isn't a brilliant engineer, or an alien, he's just a guy who honed a talent to the limits of human perfection and used it to make the world a better place. He also is one of the few people on Earth who is not cowed by the Batman and will happily tell Superman off.

Green Arrow

A special shout-out has to go to the entire Squadron Supreme, Marvel's take on DC's Justice League characters. I got into them through the late Mark Gruenwald's 12-issue limited series featuring their efforts to rebuild Earth and how things go horribly wrong.

I never read much of Green Arrow, but he's cool. I like archers.

Green Arrow rocks.

And you can play him in Green Ronin's new DC Adventures game :)

Oh yes. He was by far Liam's favorite DC character. I still have his copies of Longbow Hunters. I wish someone had taped Cary Elwes to play the character a few years back, I think he would have done it well.

I thought Princess Lilandras Imperial Guard was the villain group based on the justice league?

The Imperial Guard was more a Legion of Super Heroes take off. The Squadron were direct 1-1 takes on the characters.
