I've taken a few "Before" photos of the living room



We've picked up a new garbage can just for junk mail, and that's going to live right next to the door. We also got It's All Too Much: An Easy Plan for Living a Richer Life with Less Stuff and the associated workbook by Peter Walsh. When we looked at the personal inventory in the workbook, it was us right down the line.

I'm not planing on getting this done in a week, or even a month. This is going to be a year-long effort to really reduce and simplify.

My living room is only about half as cluttered as that right now, but it has looked just as bad, if not worse, in the past.

Boything and I have embarked on our own mission of getting rid of "stuff" - and we're getting happier with each cleared space.

Our livingroom looked like that three days ago. We got better. But there's still a lot to do.

Piece of advice you didn't ask for? Don't overdo on any one day and wear yourself out. Slow and steady wins the race, or something. :)

I'm just jealous you've put stuff up on the walls, I have a HALLWAY full of stuff that needs to go up, but it just hasn't... but we did just move in. Like 26 months ago.
