A tale of two job sites.

You must look at the map.

"A" is Piedmont High School. All deliveries to this site must be made before 0700, and the Piedmont police (they have police? Are they really a city?) are there to write you up if you are still around at 0701.

"B" is Havens Elementary School. Workers on this site do not arrive until 0800.

Today, I had deliveries for both these sites.

And people wonder why I drink.

So you sat in the elementary parking lot for an hour & read engineering manuals?

I sat on the side of the road, called the contact, and arraigned a safe spot to leave his box of clear spray paint.

Yup, Piedmont is a city with twenty sworn police employees. http://www.ci.piedmont.ca.us/police/index.shtml

And they are a POST participating agency, too per http://test-www.post.ca.gov/Resources/Law_Enforcement_Links/agency_page.asp

Well, from what I've seen in couple of times at this site, about half the force is engaged in making sure that no evil delivery trucks impair the ability of rich kids to reach their school.

From my experience, the other half is involved in rapid-response to blocked driveways.
A truck parked across my friend's driveway, and the response involved using police cars to seal off both ends of the block, and the driver being told to move his truck or be taken away in handcuffs.

Completely unrelated
