The mechanic who fixes these things needs to better understand his craft, OR Your shop needs to develop a more realistic maintenance cycle.

One of the guys at Olson Steel used to be a mechanic at International. He told me the fuel pump in 4300 DT trucks tend to fail slowly, damaging the engine, before giving up entirely. Half our fleet is over 100K miles at this point. We're all wondering how long these leases are for.
