This is a bad sign.

Got a call from my new doctor's office.

It boiled down to "would you mind being seen by the Physician's Assistant today?" This came after I carefully explained that I am a cancer survivor with epilepsy and a few other serious problems. I'd really prefer to speak with, and get to know the man who will be making me medical decisions for the foreseeable future.

When I show up for visits down the road, where the big issue is "are you still breathing?" then I'll accept a quick look over by the PA. But not now.

I'm trying to be optimistic about this new guy, but things like this make it difficult.

Oy.

My current provider is a PA-C, and you know how much I adore her...but I completely understand your concerns. I'm sure I'll hear how it went when you get home, but I'm crossing my fingers in the meantime.

I probably won't see you online tonight so please send me an e-mail letting me know how everything went. Hugs.

Did your reply boil down to "Yes, I would mind"?

Good luck. I hope all goes/went well.
