Some changes at work and general life notes.
- In an effort to improve efficiency, they've started loading the trucks in the late afternoon and parking them in the warehouse. So far, this has worked pretty well. Although it has been a pretty light week for everyone.
- This has had an interesting side effect. We're getting out so early (0600-0630) that we're reaching many of our closer sites before they open!
- But so far, I think this is a good idea.
- Also, starting this morning, the previous day's trip sheets (which we post on a board so people can see what we're doing and in what order) had the revenue generated from each stop listed along with a total. This is a great idea, and really tells us what we're doing. Knowing that i delivered over $8,000 worth of materials changes my view on the load. It also immediately resulted in competition and trash talking, but hey, we work in construction.
- Today, I got back at 1300 and was told there was an emergency. One box needed to get to San Francisco ASAP. Take the F-150. *sigh.* Head out, drive up, and just shy of the site get a call from Victor. Since his personal car broke down, he's been using a company vehicle to get to and from work. Right. the F-150.
- I gave him my ETA and pointed out it was Eddie and Rustam's idea.
- Been very tired. On track for another 1000-mile week.
- A note about Twitter. Y'all may follow me, but I'm not following anyone other than
kshandra. Simple reason, I can't afford to have my phone going off constantly all day at work.
- That, and I'm just not as dedicated to being connected as many of you.
- Three weeks to Opening Day!

On that note, glad to hear you're liking Matter by Banks. I'm wanting to read that series and was hoping it would pass muster.
