Heavy Metal Sunday visits beautiful Finland

Children of Bodom is a Finnish Melodic Death Metal band that has been around since 1993. They've had great success in Europe, and are finally getting some notice here in the states. There is some contention regarding the band's genre classification, but in general the band's musical style has been described as a cross between melodic death metal and power metal. Usual topics for the band's songs are death, personal struggle, war, and the incident that gave the band their name, the Lake Bodom murders. Recent albums have seen a shift to more antagonistic lyrics (songs such as "You're Better Off Dead" and "Hate Me") and a more straight-forward heavy metal style.

Today, we present Trashed, Lost & Strungout from 2005's Are You Dead Yet?. Enjoy!

That tour is passing through San Jose in April, but I just can't justify the money. Lamb of God puts on an awesome show.

Oh, i think you're going to like next week's edition of HMS. :)

Yay, Finland!

I live something like 8 kilometers from Lake Bodom - but it's not that surprising as a fifth of the Finns live nearby here...

Okay, I just read that as "Children of Boredom".
