Just saw a clip of President Obama exiting Marine One. His return salute to the Marines at the foot of the stairs was crisp, proper, and would make any Drill Sergeant smile.

Pretty good for a life-time civilian.

Didn't say that, Bush's salutes were always correct. But that's expected from a former service member. Clinton, in eight years, never figured it out, and that really bugged vets and service members.
