Gung Hay Fat Choi! - Happy New Year! To celebrate the new year, how about some Chinese Prog Metal?
Tang Dynasty rose to fame in the early nineties with a mix of Western metal and rock influenced by traditional Chinese music. After selling 2 million copies of their self-titled debut album, the band was rocked by set backs. Their bass player was killed in a traffic accident, and their signature lead guitarist left. This lead to a seven year delay in getting a second album out. Theoretically, there wil be a third album by 2010.
