We ARE the Revolution.

Making the rounds, and utterly repostable:

A "No" vote on CA Proposition 8 will annul no marriages.

A "Yes" vote on CA Proposition 8 will annul over 10,000 marriages (many with kids.)

Which vote is REALLY "protecting marriage"?

(NOTE: Each and every single vote WILL count. There is no "electoral college" for referendums.)

A significant factor in the last election was the large number of gay-bashing referenda calling out the religious bigot vote en masse, who chucked in a vote for Shrub while they were there.

Is there any possibility of a similar factor having an impact on Obama this time around?

Probably not. McCain has been savaged by the Religious Right, and while Sarah Palin gave them a boost early, she's now seen as a drag on the ticket. The RR is really in political disarray at this point.

...and yet I keep hearing (from the Australian media, the BBC and NPR...) about Palin being positioned as the obvious Republican candidate in four years' time. Is it gonna take a second stomping four years later to finally put down the theocratic zombie?
