Heavy Metal Sunday is happy to get the Czech.

A few weeks ago I seemed to interest [livejournal.com profile] lysana with a mention of Celtic Metal. Sadly, a lot of this subgenre appears to cross with Nordic metal, a lot of which is pretty racist. I'm not going to give those bands the time of day, let alone the tiny amount of publicity appearing here would get them.

But I have found a few interesting acts. Beltaine is a Pagan/Celtic Metal band from the Czech Republic. Interesting sound, although the singer is a bit more growly than I normally like. But enjoy today's selection.. Lone

Since you like the sound...

... and seem to have a rather eclectic taste, try looking this one up:

Little Angel by Charon

Gothy metal, with great vocals.

In Extremo? I don't have translations for any of their stuff but they do an amazing cover of This Corrosion.
The video for Vollmond is pretty cool.

Yeah. The racism that people cover with the claims that the Norse or (even more laughably) the Celts were the pure white race just gets pathetic. So many of them would have their wee little heads explode if they thought through the fact that there's a genetic tie between the peoples of Ireland and the northern coast of Africa. I've been checking Slough Feg out more and they're pretty cool overall.
