We live in San Jose, and today I drove through Livermore to Modesto and Stockton. The smoke was unbelievable.

Tell me about it. I'm driving from Santa Cruz. In Santa Cruz, the sky is grey all day, but it isn't the fog.
Coming home, I get to the point on 17 when you can finally see the Valley, and I can't see a damn thing. Normally one can see the mountains on the other side of the Valley. Today I can barely see Into the Valley.
And I'm trying to breathe this crap!
