The Local Group of galaxies might be too wide a net.

I'm trying to update my custom filters. All three of them.

Locals I live in San Jose, CA. This filter is for events, news, or other posts intended for LJ friends in this area. If you are a resident of Santa Clara County, the Greater Bay Area, or even the Northern California Megaregion let me know and I'll add you.

Traveller Geekiness Should be self-explanatory. Extreme gaming geeking, mostly about Traveller.

Not Kiri Occasionally I post things I don't want Kirsten to see. She has a Not Doug filter, and we respect the other's need for such an outlet. If you ask to be added to this one, I am usually just venting or asking for advice.

I rarely use any of these filters, but want to be up to date.

I am local...San Leandro (roughly half an hour travel if traffic behaves)

as for the others...not too interested in whatever 'Traveller' is

and I don't know that we know each other well enough for you to be comfortable adding me to the 'not kiri' filter.

Non-local, so that's the first one.

I haven't played any of the various Traveller games since high school, so I wouldn't have anything to add to those discussions, though I perhaps would to other game talk.

I'm willing to be a sounding board, and my advice is worth what you pay for it.

Toss me in the Northern Cal pool please. I have family out there, have traveled there in the past, and probably will again. So when you mention how dangerous Vasco Road is, I know exactly what you mean.

Oh, and that Traveller thing sounds interesting too. :-)

Well, pretty obviously our only real connection is the Traveller geekiness link, so that one please. (I'm curious to see what you do with Thousand Suns, for example).

Definitely Local! Hi Doug!
Don't do Traveler, but I do like games, so I guess that will be ok.
Not Kiri can be useful if you want a female opinion on something.
Are you going to be at Colleen's this weekend? I'll be later because of the CC26 committed meeting.

Well, the Northern California Megaregion does include my bunker in the Greater Sacramento Flood Plain...

[identity profile] sylvan.livejournal.com 2008-03-14 02:13 am (UTC)(link)
I'd love to be in ther Traveller filter. Gaming is good! I'm also happy to be in the Not Kiri filter, or not, as you see fit.

[identity profile] melchar.livejournal.com 2008-03-14 02:27 am (UTC)(link)
Hi hi! Am very local - and very much gamer.

[identity profile] ciarhwyfar.livejournal.com 2008-03-14 02:39 am (UTC)(link)
Outside of being in the same country/on the same continent, I don't suppose I really count as local anymore. Unless mindset counts.

I haven't looked at a traveller book since the 1980s. The early 1980s. Probably not so helpful there.

If you like, you may add me to the Not Kiri filter.

Local here...(leans out office door and waves at you)

Feel free to vent in my general direction and to ask for advice.

[identity profile] freetrav.livejournal.com 2008-03-14 04:56 am (UTC)(link)
Hi there!

Not local to you; not Koosh (at your discretion; also, say hi and hug from me); DEFINITELY Traveller!

by all means..............

[identity profile] redc1c4.livejournal.com 2008-03-14 05:39 am (UTC)(link)
put me in all 3.

i don't spend enough time on the internet, and i'm always curious.

i promise HIPPA level discretion on all matters. %-)

[identity profile] grimmwire.livejournal.com 2008-03-14 06:17 am (UTC)(link)
Trav, of course.

[identity profile] mikkop.livejournal.com 2008-03-14 07:11 am (UTC)(link)
I'm interested in the Traveller Geekiness part.

(I'm not sure if this is only for your friends, though - not that up-to-date on LJ how LJ (and LJ culture) works.)

[identity profile] rickvs.livejournal.com 2008-03-14 08:06 am (UTC)(link)
I am non-local, but would not mind being on the other two filters.

[identity profile] aitkendrum.livejournal.com 2008-03-14 12:00 pm (UTC)(link)
Local: No, unless they built a transatlantic gate to CA
Traveller: Definitely yes as your a cracking writer!
Non Kiri: No

[identity profile] robertprior.livejournal.com 2008-03-14 01:41 pm (UTC)(link)
Not in the same country, let alone local.

Traveller, of course. Thousand Suns too, if you add a filter for that.

To Kiri or Not-Kiri? That's up to you.

[identity profile] katster.livejournal.com 2008-03-14 02:22 pm (UTC)(link)
I wouldn't mind being in all three filters if you feel inclined to put me there. (And since I fall in the Northern California megaregion, I definitely qualify on the first...although I find it funny that Redding isn't within the spere of influence.)

I am:

Traveller Geekiness Should be self-explanatory. Extreme gaming geeking, mostly about Traveller.

FOR SURE!

Not Kiri Occasionally I post things I don't want Kirsten to see. She has a Not Doug filter, and we respect the other's need for such an outlet. If you ask to be added to this one, I am usually just venting or asking for advice.

At your discretion.

Yes please

[identity profile] the-ogre.livejournal.com 2008-03-14 07:05 pm (UTC)(link)
The first two definitely, and the third if you feel comfortable with me on it.

[identity profile] lysana.livejournal.com 2008-03-14 08:53 pm (UTC)(link)
You know I'm local. Traveller is something I haven't touched in 20 years, so while I'm pleased you have fun with it, I don't connect with it much. The Not Kiri filter I leave to your discretion.

[identity profile] blackfyr.livejournal.com 2008-03-15 12:27 am (UTC)(link)
What she said. ;-)

[identity profile] aurictech.livejournal.com 2008-03-14 11:40 pm (UTC)(link)
Just Door Number Two (Traveller Geekiness) for me, please.

[identity profile] notthebuddha.livejournal.com 2008-03-15 02:25 am (UTC)(link)
I'm not local, moderately Travelled, and the soul of discretion.
