F/X just rand a MLS/ESPN commercial touting the imminent arrival of David Beckham on the US soccer scene as a member of the LA Galaxy. The commercial featured images of heartbroken Brits, many of who were removing Beckham's iconographic jersey number 23 from walls, scooters, etc. The commercial ended with a shot of Beckham from behind, with his name and the number 23 on his Galaxy jersey walking into a packed stadium.

The next commercial? Announcing the network broadcast premiere of a Jim Carey movie.

Actually, those were mostly heartbroken Spanish fans - he left Real Madrid to come to the Galaxy. He hasn't played in England since 2003.
