Speaking ofo NORAD Santa tracking: according to a story I heard, there was this trooper stuck on duty in NORAD on Christmas eve. Well, he didn't like that, and decided to be mean. His monologue for the TV coverage of Santa tracking went someting like this:
"Yep, we have a confirmed liftoff at the North Pole, our radars are locked on Santa's sleigh... Wait.. what's that? I have multiple launch signatures over the North coast of Russia! The Soviets are firing missiles at Santa! He's hit! Santa's been shot down by a Soviet missile!"
