Made it out alive!

Gift shopping was accomplished with no fatalities. I think Kirsten is going to love the Emergency Supplemental Gift.

I hung out for a bit watching Santa Claus deal with the kiddies. He was a real Santa - no glue was used on that beard! There was a momentary lull while a mom tried to get her kids tidied up for the photos, and he looked over at me and asked "What do you want for Christmas, young man?" "I would like the Giants to sign Barry Zito, Santa." I replied. He gave a great "ho-ho-ho" and said "if they don't, I know a general manager who's getting nothing but coal for a while!"

Santa is a Giants fan. Too cool.

Tomorrow, I get to go watch the Niners with my mom. That's going to be fun.

Of course, Santa is a Giants fan. Santa is from everywhere, so every home team is his favorite.

Except the Cubs. Even Santa Claus can't give them a pennant under their tree.

Heh. Sorry, man. I was a Cubs fan when I was young. This was before I discovered easier paths to masochistic satisfaction. (grin)

I'm a Cubs fan because I married into a Cubs family and I love their traditions. :)

Congrats on getting your wish!

Well, Mister Zito appears to be a Giant now, so you got what you wanted.

(Now if only we could find a way to get a third baseman out here in Philly!)
