So, Doug, your birthday is the Fourth of July, and your wife's birthday is the US Army's birthday (http://www.army.mil/cmh/faq/birth.htm) and Flag Day (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flag_Day_in_the_United_States). How'd y'all work that?

It was Fate. I always figured that if we had had children, one would be born on the Marines' birthday.
