Oops.
Despite not being a POD-person anymore, I still notice the things. (I also notice SuperShuttles when I'm driving.) On the route we take home when Kirsten picks me up there's a POD that has been there for a long time. Seriously, I think this thing was placed last summer. It's on Lincoln Ave in Willow Glen (for you locals) and is being used as storage for what appears to be a complete rebuild of a house.
Today as we passed I noticed a huge problem. The container had been dropped with its right side fairly close to a fence line. When it was placed, the left side had a few feet of clearance.
That was then, this is now.
The remodel has extended the house's walls. From my quick glance it appear that the distance between wall and POD had dropped below the critical 18" mark. And there is no wiggle room on the other side of the POD. Even better, they had built and overhang over the container! In short, they can't get the container out now.
Y'know, if I still owrked there you know I'd get that final pick-up.
I'll call J tomorrow and let him know about the problem.
