I'm an RPG geek, I know.
My 49ers won the Superbowl again, back to back wins. (Yes, I've been playing a lot of Madden recently.) Going into the post season, I saw improving my defense as a priority, but needed to free up some salary room. So I looked at my QB, who while still good, was getting older and starting to decline a bit. So I traded him for some good draft picks, and saved $14 million in salary.
But that wasn't enough for me. In my head, I started wondering about Fulcher's departure from SF, and constructed this entire scenario where he gave an interview with ESPN where he blasted management, acted like a jerk, and demanded a trade. I'm now working the phones to bring in a good replacement. Let's see if I can find the next Big Ben...
