A brief announcement.

In one of my favorite movies, Real Genius, there is a short scene that applies today. During a montage of shots showing the two main characters hard at work studying, there is scene in a library. Several students are deep into their work, when one stands up and begins screaming. Wordlessly, just venting his stress. He flees the room still screaming, a broken husk of a man.

With that scene in mind, I present my update on Cost Plus at Christmas time, seasonal employees, our beloved customers, and the Forty Niners:

AAAAAAAIIIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEE!!! AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!! BLEEEEEEAAARRRRGGGHHHHHH!!!!! AARRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!

You forgot to mention that the other students just silently divvy up their departed colleague's study space and keep going...
Must happen a lot.

I want all of you to get up out of your chairs. I want you to get up right now and go to the window. Open it, and stick your head out, and yell,
'I'M AS MAD AS HELL, AND I'M NOT GOING TO TAKE THIS ANYMORE!'

I love Cost Plus, but I know better than to go in there during the holidays.

If you see any cool cow ornaments, tell me, please?

I actually ended up inside a similar retail store (might have been that chain, might have been a competitor) last year, on duty, in uniform.

The job was to stand there, look good, and if someone decided to expose themselves, laugh and point.

I had to fill in for someone who quit on the spot because "it was too difficult." After an hour, I understood.

They play Muzak to get the employees to work. It's the only way to block out the noise . . . the Noise . . . the Horrible NOISE!

Ahem. I feel much better now.
