Quote of the day

From [livejournal.com profile] princeofcairo

"rooting for the Yankees is like rooting for Darth Vader. (Or, given Steinbrenner's dugout-packing, like rooting for Darth Vader, Rupert of Hentzau, Moriarty, Dracula, the Klingons, Draco Malfoy, and the rich fat kids camp from across the lake.)"

That's supposed to deter me? I regularly root for Vader. Luke was a whiny git.

But. . .I *like* Vader & Dracula. . .*pout*

As if I care about which team the Redbirds will face in the World Series. (And yes, I am quite confident that the Cardinals will beat the Houston Ass-tros in Game 7.)

Keep in mind, the Cardinals beat both the Yankees (1964) and the Red Sox (1967) in the last time the Redbirds met either of those teams in the World Series....

That should've been Camp Mohawk. ;)

I will say, though, that the Steinbrenner arm-injury commercial for the Visa check-card is quite amusing. It wouldn't have worked with any other team owner (except, perhaps, for Redskins' owner Dan Snyder)....
