Some great news!
Bay Area sports casting legend Lon Simmons has been elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame!
Lon will receive the Ford C. Frick award, and become the 29th honoree in the broadcaster's wing.
Lon called everybody in the SFBA in his 41-year career. The Giants, A's. 49ers.. His trademark homerun call "you can tell it goodbye!" was used as the theme of the last season at Candlestick and was written into John Fogerty's Centerfield
